SBEA is an active global equity exchange traded fund (ETF) built on three factors that have historically been associated with higher returns. These factors are Equity, Value and Momentum. Equity-based investing targets the equity of a company rather than bonds, real estate or other asset classes. Value companies are those that have low prices relative to their reported financial performance. Momentum companies are those whose stock price performance has done well in the recent past. On top of these, we add Trend Following, a risk management technique that advocates investing in equity markets when they are trending positive and moving to lower risk assets when the trend is negative. Results from the analysis of historical market data show that exposure to these factors can result in higher returns with reduced risk.
